Happy year of snake! Wow, times flies! I still remember publishing the dragon pattern, and now we are celebrating the year of snake! Snake is so much simply compared to dragon >U<
It is a very free style pattern, depending on how long you want your snake to be. You can change the color or change the color distribution, change the eye color. I love the chenille yarn perfectly mimic the snake scale and it is a fun project for any snake lover.
I used the one ball of DMC Happy Chenille to crochet this snake, the finishing snake is 32cm long, you can make it much longer as I just run out of yarn><
The standard gauge for the yarn is 30.0 to 19 sts =4inches, needle size. US 2½ – 3.0 mm. I’m using a 3.00mm hook. A 9.5mm cat eyes. You can use black eyes as well, just that I love the cat eyes make them much more lively. Some wires is stuff inside the snake body so it can slightly change gesture.

Abbreviation
MR: magic ring
ch: chain
dsc: invisible single crochet decrease
sc: single crochet
inc: single crochet increase
sl: slip stitch
I used jointed-end method which mean you start with chain to build a new round, and end with slip stitch to starting stitch. I recommended using stitch marker for both starting stitch and finishing stitch as chenille yarn is more difficult to count stitches.
***starting chain did not count as one stitch***
